In order to transform this image into a sound, the single coil P.U. version is more expressive than the humbucking P.U., so it is the single coil P.U. version. The width of the body is the traditional 16 inches, and it has a thin body. Normally, this type of body construction has no bracing, just a board affixed to the center of the back of the top from the neck side to the end, but this SMITH has the usual full-acoustic construction with parallel bracing and a block at the bridge behind the top like other models. It can be described as a double cutaway model with an inch smaller body width than the Detroit One. The result is a fuller acoustic sound with a unique midrange that is best suited for music with a beat. This is a unique sound. The feeling of playing like a madman is desirable. I want you to give me a black trip feeling of playing the same phrase over and over. It is best suited for jazz, blues, R&R, country rock, folk rock, Merseybeat, and all other beatnik music.

"Sidewinder " is the common name for the leafhopper rattlesnake that lives in desert areas. It is called a "sidewinder" because of the way it twists its body in an S-shape on the sand and moves in a horizontal direction. We named this model "Sidewinder" because it has a charm of "individuality" with its strangeness that is different from the common ones, and it is suitable for the name of the model that is made to fit the musicality cultivated in the wilderness. This model is equipped with a single rear humbucker P.U., which is made by the original manufacturer. It has a 4-point lever switch, single coil on the neck side, parallel humbuckers, single coil on the bridge side, and series humbuckers, so there are variations in clean, drive, and backing sounds. It is a true "sidewinder" in both appearance and sound.

The sound of the 1954 original recording of the classic blues song "Okie Dokie Stomp" by Gatemouth Brown was created by tape recording in the 50's. The tape comp, amp environment, etc. created a crisp, yet thick and mellow high that sounded wild. We developed this sound with the idea that it would be possible to make the same sound with modern equipment. This is the point of development. The dynamics required for blues. That is the goal. The pickups as a sound factor were developed to be more blues specific to give it a different feel from others. The front P.U. is made to give power and sharpness without blurring the sound of the pickup itself. The bridge P.U. is arranged so that the middle part comes out to the fullest. The bridge P.U. is arranged to produce a full middle, not a choked middle. It also has a staggered maple neck that deviates from the traditional arrangement. The neck is made of maple but with a staggered neck, which deviates from the traditional arrangement, so that the 3rd string bend, which is often played in blues, comes out fully. To achieve the old school sound, the fingerboard radius is 180R and the frets are thin. All nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This is a guitar that can easily turn "feelings" into sound, not phrases. This is a solid guitar that is more specialized for blues.
